The Ride for Refugees was a huge success - thank you to everyone who supported us by donating, sharing our story, and helping bring the Beshmaf family to Canada.

Together, we were able to bring together Canadians and make a difference in the lives of a Syrian refugee family.

We are proud to be sponsoring the Beshmaf family. Originally from Aleppo, Syria, this family of five was displaced to Jordan after their home was bombed in 2011. Hosen and Rasha are the father and mother of three young children. They have a daughter, Selen, who is eight years old. Their oldest son Azar is five years old, and Aydmr, their youngest son, is only two years old and was born into the crisis.

The Beshmaf family are currently going through the final phases of the refugee application process, and we anticipate their arrival to Canada within the next few months!

Through Ride for Refugees, we amassed 152 individual, corporate and community donors who all contributed to bringing the Beshmaf family to Canada. Students, business professionals, Members of Parliament, educators, and philanthropists alike joined together and successfully raised over $30,000.
